- Staple mana rocks and tutors have wide buylist spreads. Expect a real gap between what a shop pays and what it asks.
- Special guest and serialized collector slots should be compared to recent sold listings, not MSRP of the precon.
- Reserved List pieces are a different conversation from modern EDH staples. Confirm the shop actually wants that inventory before you drive a binder over.
- Precon upgrade packs are convenience pricing — fine if you value time, not if you are hunting EV.
- Trade credit often beats cash when the shop needs your binder cards for the Friday night room. Ask which side of the counter they are hungry on.
