Event night can be the best or worst time to visit depending on your goal. If you want to see the community, learn whether a league is active, or buy supplies before playing, an event night is useful. If you need a long conversation about selling a collection, grading intake, or an expensive raw-card inspection, the staff may be too busy. Search events and nearby card shops together so you know whether a normal retail visit overlaps with tournament traffic.
Call before arriving and ask whether retail browsing, buying, or trade-ins are available during the event.
