Selling cards

Should I take the first card shop offer?

Take it only when the offer, terms, category fit, and convenience make sense after you understand the alternatives.

The first offer may be fair, but you should understand it before accepting. Ask what cards drove the number, whether bulk is included, whether payment is cash or trade credit, and whether any items were excluded. If the collection has meaningful value, compare at least one other category-fit buyer from the card shop directory or relevant specialty hub. A shop that specializes in your strongest material may see value another store misses.

Convenience is part of the decision. A slightly lower immediate cash offer can be better than weeks of listing, shipping, returns, and fraud risk, especially for a mixed collection. The compare shop offers FAQ and trade credit guide explain how to evaluate terms. Avoid accepting only because you feel rushed, embarrassed, or unsure how to carry the cards home. A fair buyer should let you say no and take reasonable time to decide, and that reaction tells you almost as much as the number itself.
