Pokémon mystery packs should be treated as entertainment unless the shop clearly discloses contents, odds, floor value, chase cards, and who packed them. The seller controls the pool, which means the buyer is accepting uncertainty created by the same party taking payment. Reputable Pokémon card shops may offer fun low-stakes mystery products, but that does not make them the best path to a specific card or reliable value.
Before buying, compare the mystery pack price with singles, normal sealed product, or a known collection box. Ask whether packs are factory sealed, shop-made, returnable, and whether the advertised chase cards are actually still in the pool.
