What to look for

Back issues organised and bagged

Sorted, bagged, and boarded boxes mean somebody works the back-issue side every week. Unsorted long boxes on the floor can hide bargains, but they also mean nobody has checked condition, so price accordingly.

Shared supplies stocked

Mylar, bags, boards, penny sleeves, and top loaders in the same shop is a good sign: it means both counters get restocked rather than one being an afterthought kept for the odd customer who asks.

The rest is on the national comic shops page, along with the questions worth asking before you hand over a collection.
